Ephemeral Thoughts: Another Robert Wright Blurb

All of this wrangling about the existence of God makes for some seemingly deep conversations, but it is (for me) just a piling up of words that are equal to nothing more than a dung heap. This life, this universe, God or not, is beyond definition. The more we learn the more we realize that we know very little. I think that every attempt to describe the existence of God is that we are never able to ask the right questions; because there are none! And the answers, if there were any, tell us nothing.
But there is a silent knowing...and the God speculators just hate that because they need to read something, to touch something, to hold it in their hands. Its just not possible.

I think Robert Wright might agree with you. And so might I. But I'm a "God speculator" who finds meaning in the pondering. It's not for everyone, but it is part of who I am. At least for now.

I'm not being critical River....I'm only suggesting that one may well find more answers in stillness than in philosophical debate.

I didn't think you were being critical Tim. :) I was simply saying that I do enjoy philosophical speculation.

Daily contemplation and stillness is something I'd like to make time and room for in my life. It's sadly lacking. I find an even deeper desire to do so now, after having had that dream the other night.
